What kind of fertilizer are you supposed to use on Lilacs??
Lilacs really prefer a poor soil. If you fertilize, you risk encouraging leaf growth over flowering. If you must, use a 5-10-10.
Reply:Also add Bone Meal for blooms for next year. Just sprinkle some down under the entire weep line(Extension of the branches) of the lilac.
