Candy favors for guests!?

I'm going to have a candy buffet at my reception for guests to take home as favors. I plan on trying to keep the colors of candy the same as my color scheme. My colors are lilac, victorian lilac, various shades of purple, Ivory, white, silver, and a tiny bit of pink. I know forsure Im going to get m%26amp;ms at a local candy store that alerady has all m%26amp;m seperated. What are some other types of candy, besides m%26amp;ms, I can get in my colors and use for my candy buffet??


Our wedding day is May 17, 2008 so I am assuming I will be able to find Valentines day/Easter candy on sale after the holiday?

You can get rock candy (they are suckers that look like crystals and they come in lilac, dark purple, pink, all sorts of colors).

Reply:what about parma violets there yummy, or proper jelly beans then u could choose the pinks n purples etc. there should be loads of pink stuff before valentines day aswell. have u tried looking on the web, if u type in sweets you'll get loads of good ideas. good luck n hope u havea nice wedding day.
Reply:Hey - My wedding is the same day as your and my colors are violet and the flowers will be purple. I'm also considering doing various shades of purple.
Reply:Saltwater taffy comes in a variety of colors. You could easily find a locally owned business that pulls their own taffy and could make yours specially.

You can also buy molds and make your own chocolates - it's easy, and doesn't take a lot of time. You can buy molds in all shapes and sizes. What about bar chocolate with custom labels that you make yourself on your PC?

Reply:I so wanted to do this type of thing at my wedding, but got outvoted. You can do custom wrapped candy bars that would match your colors. They have them on ebay and various other web-based businesses do them. I custom wrapped candy for my daughter's birthday. I wrapped M%26amp;M tubes with a Happy Birthday greeting. It's pretty easy if you have a color printer and you just need to cut and glue over the wrappers.


Also, plain hershey kisses are wrapped in silver and I think the dark chocolate kinds are wrapped in purple. Candy sticks come in a variety of colors and are cheap.
