Is it fair to bring out of town guests (Indiana) to a wedding in Wildwood on October 25th?

The boardwalk will be closed mid-October. The hotel has an indoor pool. Would you go? Is being a half hour away from Atlantic City an incentive?

Theme was beach, but late October changed the colors from lilac %26amp; pale yellow to lilac, chocolate, %26amp; champange. Any suggestions?

I LOVE the Jersey shore so I would go in a heartbeat. I especially love the shore in the "off season" when all those pesky tourists aren't all over the place - LOL.

(can you tell I lived in Jersey from age 3 til 32 and only left 6 months ago???)

In October there is very little chance of snow in that area and if you get a little Indian Summer it could be sunny and warm 60s for a stroll on the nearly deserted boardwalk. HOW NICE!!! I'm a tad jealous.

I would also advertise to your guests the proximity to Cape May (4miles south!) and all the things to do there year-round! The architecture is amazing and the horse-drawn carriage rides might still be going on at that time of year.

Atlantic City isn't as much of a draw for me as Cape May, but both are nice perks.

Also, check out Lucy The Elephant in Margate (just south of AC) - http://www.lucytheelephant.org/

And just because its a bit too cold for the beach, it doesn't mean everything has closed up shop for the season. Some areas are open year-round along the Jersey Shore.
Reply:If everyone is out of town and will have to travel, then yes I think it's too much. I personally would not want to spend my vacation at a beach town in October, when nothing is open and it is freezing cold. If one of you has family in NJ, then that's different- but if you've picked Wildwood just because you like it, then I think that is asking too much.
Reply:Who cares if it's fair? Wedding guests shouldn't need an incentive, as they have received the honor of being invited to share in the best day of your life. The wedding is the main event. Have it where you want, and they'll come or not.
Reply:Check out this website for full details of what to do around the City! http://www.atlantic-city-vacation-hotels... Good Luck!
Reply:I would go. Who knows, it could be warm in Oct like it was this past year. The can walk along the beach and just relax. I would definitely go!
