Ummm i have a makeup question plz help i only have about 5 days?

I have chosen to wear a lilac dress and i have Revlon Eyeshadow quads which has three shade of purple including lilac and a silver colour. How should i apply this eyeshadow and what colour lipstick or lipgloss should i wear?....NB I have a dark complexion as dark as my avatar or slightly darker.

I have a video up on youtube that deals with purple eyeshadows. Instead of using the MAC colors though, substitute the colors in your Revlon quad...i.e. use the silver shadow where I used Kitschmas, the lightest purple (maybe the lilac) where I used Muaved Pink, and the next darkest or the absolute darkest purple (your choice depending on how dramatic you want it to look) for the Violet. If you do this look for eyes, go with a natural lip color with some gloss. Hope this helps!
Reply:HI! If your eyes are deep set, put the dark color on your lid, follow with med shade to blend, then highlight the brow bone with the lightest shade.. Other wise, light all over the entire lid, in the crease med or dark, then liner on your eyes.. liquid, if you can otherwise pencil.. then with a q-tip or liner brush use the darkest color on top of the liner. I hardly ever leave the house without mascara.. Don't forget the mascara, your eyes will pop!

If you don't wear blush, pinch your cheeks (at the cheek bones) or rub if your sensitive before any pictures :)

And lips.. clear glossy gloss.

Have fun!
Reply:To get that cool shadow effect you always apply the lightest color shadow first to the entire eyelid and then just above the crease of your eyelid you add the medium shadow almost all the way up to your eyebrow depending on how dramatic you want to look. Then use the light shadow to highlight the area just below your eyebrow and blend in with the medium shadow. for the dark color shadow use a good eye shadow brush to apply to the outer corner of your eye, sweeping out and up(a little goes a long way), also underline your lower lashes with the darker shadow and you can put a little of the lightest shadow in the inner corner of your eye for highlight...if it is a big, fancy thing and you are nervous about this, practice a couple times before the date to find just the right amounts for each shadow. Since it sounds like you are going for dramatic eyes, you should go easy on the lips, like a clear or shimmery gloss would be perfect.
Reply:i would defintily use a soft pink, or even clear lip gloss so your eyes look amazing but your lips still look good to

it wont take away from your eyes but it will help your lips look good
Reply:i normally have the eyeshadows with 3 in them i normally put the the lightest colour all over thr lid of the eye and then put the darkest 1 on the bottom of the eye and do that all the way up to the cress of the eye then the medieum colour on the top the lightest colour is just thr base coat well i think so any way but its up 2 you

**** luck anyway xxx
Reply:If i were you I wouldn't match my eyeshadow to my dress. Instead apply a nude or peach lip with mascara and blush.
Reply:use the lightest color all over the eyelid and the darkest color in the crease and around your lashline to contour and add depth. Do about two coats of mascara and a neutral lipcolor like nude and lipgloss
Reply:put the silver parts on the very inside of ur eyes then the lilac all over
Reply:wear the lilac eyeshadow like you normally would and do a silver stripe above it...it looks great and brings out the color of your eyes!
Reply:What the hell are the talking about. Sweetheart. With the eyeshadow... put the silver in the crease of your eyelid. Put the lilac and purple on your lid itself, and the lilac in the corner of your eye.. ( the corner by your nose). Then get a soft bronze lipstick... like Maybelline's Sugared Bronze with a little gloss if you want shine. Or you can get M.A.C's lipglass called Ohbaby, or Lustreglass Cinnamon
Reply:silver. :]

Reply:I am great with make-up even though I only wear mascara, eyeliner and lipliner with gloss! To make your dress stand out I would suggest you use a darker purple on your lids since you also say you have a dark complexion which is going to be beautiful! For your lips maybe a hint of color and then put a gloss over that and blend it in very well and you are set for the night honey! Hope you have a great time!
