Junior Bridesmaid dress, help....?

Ok I have 2 bridesmaids %26amp; I want my 6 yr old daughter to be a junior bridesmaid. My bridesmaids are wearing victorian lilac dresses from David's Bridal. My flower girl is wearing all white. But I want to put my daughter in a dress that is mostly white trimmed in victorian lilac around the chest. Do you think she will look weird standing up there not in the same dress as the bridesmaids? It is the same color that her dress is trimmed in.

Junior Bridesmaid dress, help....?
I think that's a great idea. It will probably make her feel special having a dress that is slightly different than everyone elses dresses. I personally think it will look better that way, especially since she will be walking you down the aisle.
Reply:i am having my bridesmaids wear victorian lilac, my junior bridesmaid is wearing regular lilac and my flower girls are wearing white and lilac dresses. IMO i think it will look fine with what you said you are doing.
Reply:David's Bridal has a lot of junior bridesmaids dresses to match regular bridemaids dresses. however, since your daughter is so young, you will likely be able to find only flower girl dresses in her size. you could match her to the flower girl, or find a dress that mirrors yours, since she is your child. congrats and best wishes!
Reply:She may "look" a little like a flower girl, but when she walks down the aisle with you as opposed to walking down the aisle carrying flowers, her role will be distinquished from the flower girl's. I think that dress would look great. And be sure to have a program at your ceremony so that she will know she is playing an "important" role. I think your wedding sounds beautiful. Congratulations!
Reply:not at all, her dress should be different from theirs in so far as she is a child and presumably your b.m. are not!

i think your idea will work very well, its a good transitional dress between the lilac gowns of the brides maids to the all white dress of your flower girl!

you will have a very pretty bridal party, happy wedding!
Reply:I dont think so at all. I think it would be a nice way to accentuate that she is not one of the rest of them, she is your daughter. I think it looks better when the "maids" are in different style dresses as well. As far as the answer to your question I dont think it would look funny at all, and I think she will probably like being a little different seeing as she is your daughter. Congrats and good luck!
Reply:I think that she will look more like a flowergirl if you put her in an dress like that...

But, the best thing to do is just ask her which one she likes better. You want her to like the dress that she is wearing, and if it looks a little odd then that's okay...as long as she is happy and feels beautiful

When all else fails ask the kids; they usually know what they want. :)
