Oh that's so awesome! This one is pretty...barbie-like, in my opinion, but that's up to your sister in law...

They call this a bridesmaid dress, but it looks like a wedding dress to me.

Good luck, I think the latter two are customizable in color as well.

I love it when people have colored dresses :)
Reply:Bridesmaid dresses are thankfully looking less and less like, well... bridesmaid dresses. And they usually come in a wealth of different colors. Vera Wang has a really beautiful line of bridesmaid dresses, all different lengths and colors. Another option is to just go to the formal section of a department store and see what they have. There's no reason why your sis-in-law has to go to a bridal boutique or superstore to find "The Dress."
Reply:omg a lavender wedding dress???

did u slap her to make sure she wasn't having a stoke or something??

if u have to get something like that dont go for the whole frilly lace dress (i dont think u will find one that dosnet make u vomit at first site)
Reply:a lot of bridesmaids dresses would be approprate.
Reply:She could always have one made but I have actually seen lavendar and lilac dresses in stores.

comes in every color:

Reply:Tell her to try moncheribridals.com. Go into the site and find Special Occasion Dresses by Montage Then click on #19543 there is your lavender wedding dress. Marrying for the second time, she shouldn't go for a big poofy flouncy wedding gown..something simple with a little lace. In that same site, look for Rina de Montella Formal dresses and Mother of the Bride dresses also try Mother of the Bride dresses by Moncheri.com (Montage collection) some lavender dresses there.
Reply:Two things:

1 - Look into Quincenera gowns. Many are similarly styled to wedding gowns but in color, or are white with beautifully colored accents.

Here is a site:

2 - Look into bridesmaids dresses.
Reply:With more and more people getting married more than once a lot of bridal stores either have dresses in other colours or can make a dress you like in a colour of your choice.

Ask at your local boutique and if they don't do it themselves they will know someone who will
Reply:Get creative! Check out brides maid dresses or even high end evening wear. I know Vera Wang makes dresses in lilac that would be lovely wedding dresses. Depending on the fabric and style you may even be able to get the dress dyed (ala brides maid shoes!) but get a professional to do it!
Reply:She can get ahold of the wedding dress stores. They can maybe special order it in. If not, they can most likely tell you WHERE you can. Good Luck, and it sounds very pretty.
Reply:If you can't find them already made, you can have a custom make if you know the "pattern" you want the dress....so go ahead and have her try on white dresses to see how a "pattern" will look on her.
Reply:Quinceanera dresses! Most of the quinceanera dresses look exactly like wedding dresses. Some are white but lavender and pink are the next popular colors. Do a search under that and I"m sure many will come up. Another option would be to go to a bridal store in a hispanic area and they might have them in the window display.
Reply:If she knows someone who sews you can buy a wedding dress pattern at Jo Ann's fabrics, and use lavender/lilac as the color.
