I would like to know what the average time for lilacs to bloom in the PA, MD, WV area. My daughter wants lilacs for her wedding, any other tips on using locally grown perennials at the end of May would be greatly appreciated!
Anyone keep a garden journal that includes lilacs?
I do not have a journal but as I live in maine with a lot of liliacs which were my grandmothers favorites. I do know a lot about them. It is rare that I get to pick them to put on the cemetary for memorial day they are usually late here. But if you are going a little south it maybe warmer and they may come out sooner. And they can have a short season too.
