Billy loves them, memories of Mom %26amp; Grandma come back with them every year :)
Have the Lilacs bloomed yet where you live?
Sore subject for me, that ahole chopped my lilac bush down. Doesn%26#039;t matter anyway, really, cuz after paying housepayments to HIM for 2 years, I find out we%26#039;ve been foreclosed cuz he spent THAT 800 bucks a month on his little ho, too. ahem.
I don%26#039;t think they%26#039;ll bloom for a couple more weeks yet, though. Love em, we had a whole row on the west side of the farm house when I was a little girl, that%26#039;s why I finally got my own - ahem...........
Reply:My lilacs have not bloomed here. I would guess it will be a couple more weeks before they do. I love when the scent of them comes through the bedroom window in the morning.
Reply:Yes, my neice picked some for me today. I love love love that smell.
Reply:Not yet here, usually lilacs don%26#039;t bloom until June or July here
Reply:%26lt;sigh%26gt; i think the hard freeze killed off the bloom on mine. the bleeding hearts at least made a good recovery, as did about 80 other species of flowers i have.
*never get a landscaper started about his posies! lol
Reply:Yes they have.
Reply:Just budding out by me..:)
Reply:no, not yet
Reply:They%26#039;re now just starting to and they%26#039;re my favorite because of my Grandma too. Don%26#039;t buy lilac car fresheners though - it%26#039;s NOT the same!
Reply:Yes and they smell wonderfull!!!
Reply:Early May is lilac time in eastern PA. Sadly, ours are not even close to blooming, thanks to the very late spring this year. I have a particularly beautiful dark purple one that that has white edges on the blooms.
