Should my mother and fmil dress be the same color as the bridemaids which are lilac or a different color?

Make her dress a different color.

Should my mother and fmil dress be the same color as the bridemaids which are lilac or a different color?
They can wear a complimentary color, pastel greens, pinks, yellows - just should not clash or be too strong a color or the photos will be out of balance. They shouldn%26#039;t be limited to your wedding colors but should choose a color that they look radiant it. You might want to have a shopping outing with each of them so you are involved in the process - if they agree to that.
Reply:No, not the same color, but something complementary is fine. Dusty rose, eggplant, or champagne, - any other colors but white or black (I know, some think black is fine, but I don%26#039;t).

And the mothers do not have to wear the same color.
Reply:really that is up to you and them, if you prefer everyone to wear the same color than ask them about it and i am sure they wouldn%26#039;t mind. If you don%26#039;t have a preference ask them what color they would like to wear. I have seen weddings where they had the same color as bridesmaids and others where they did not. As long as your mother and your fmil are both comfortable and you are happy than all will be well!

Good luck!
Reply:different, but blending

dusty rose????
Reply:Definitely a different color but one that compliments your wedding colors. Also both mothers do not have to be in the same exact color.

Good luck!
Reply:probably different my girls wore taupe, my mom wore like a mocha and my mother in law wore a champagne
Reply:I think that they should pick out whichever color they feel the most comfortable wearing. Just let them know what color the bridesmaids are wearing, and let them take it from there. If there is a specific color you DONT want them to wear, let them know! But I think they should get to pick themselves.
Reply:It%26#039;s your choice. Either way works.

Reply:I would recommend a different shade, but still in the same family.
Reply:make theirs slightly darker than the bridesmaids

warm colors always look best on moms, i%26#039;ve found :)
Reply:They have to compliment the colors, but not blend in, and they should both have a similar style.
