Anyone know about turkey color genetics?

I have been looking into the genotypes for color in lilac turkeys. These guys are really cool because they have four phenotypes for color. Lilac, Fawn, Bronze, and Red Slate are obtained from the mating of pure lilac turkeys.

Lilacs are bbRrSLsl so

Lilac x Lilac = 25% Lilac, 25% Fawn, 25% Bronze, and 25% Red Slate

Fawn x Fawn = Fawn

Red Slate x Red Slate = Red Slate

and I don%26#039;t know what happens when you cross bronzes.

I%26#039;m trying to design an experiment to unravel this, but there are 16 genotypes and only 4 phenotypes. Lilacs only have one genotype so two of the others must have two genotypes that yield a single phenotype and one of them must have 3 genotypes the yield a single phenotype.

I have the turkeys and can do some crossing of my own, but shouldn%26#039;t there already be available genetic studies on this?

Anyone have any info on turkey genes?

Anyone know about turkey color genetics?
Hmm, I actually found something.

Book: Bird Coloration, Vol. 1: mechanisms and measurements. Ed. Geoffrey Hill and Kevin McGraw.

Part of it is on Google books, and it says the genetics for *wild* turkeys are well established.

Book is a good place to start; you might have to get the specifically cited references though. p. 470 caught my eye.
