It certainly has been a strange year here in the midwest (WISC here). I really wish I knew what to tell you except to enjoy the lilacs now instead of later who knows they may bloom again. As for the strawberries ,is it anything you can bring indoors at night? Otherwise maybe mulch would be a good idea to cover them somehow when the weather is sure to change here at some point..Not much help but I hope you can enjoy the lilacs anyhow I know I would.

Lilacs appear to push buds out quite far, very early. However, I%26#039;ve never seen one damaged by the cold. Nature knows its business!
