Sounds like aphids. Try spraying them with a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water out of an old spray bottle. Works for me on my roses!
Reply:afids
Reply:They might be aphids pronounced (a fids) and if they are there is a product that you can buy in the garden section of the store that should get rid of them.
Reply:They could be aphids - they suck the nutrients out of the plants. Go to a nursery %26amp; the staff will give you some pesticide.
Reply:Whiteflies: (Size=1/16-inch)

Found throughout the United States. These tiny, insects feed in large numbers on leaf undersides of tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, and other plants by sucking out plant juices. They secrete a sticky, sugary substance called honeydew that may cause the growth of a sooty black fungus on leaves. Eggs laid on leaf undersides hatch into larvae that look like flat, oval, semitransparent scales, which change into adult flies in about a month
